Defense encounters
The May 2026 update says train-defense encounters are being integrated with gameplay around clearing obstacles from the route. A founder interview also describes planned waves of Revenants and mounting machine guns or cannons to protect the locomotive. Official gameplay-trailer press copy adds that the roar of the engine draws deadly Revenants from the frozen wilds—an attractor described in qualitative terms, not as a published noise radius.
- Protect the Eden Engine
- Respond to attacks around the train
- Clear route obstacles
- Treat engine noise as a confirmed attractor, not a numeric aggro stat
- Use structural reinforcement and planned weapon systems

Preparation checklist
Until a playable build supplies exact systems, reliable preparation advice is limited to the confirmed dependencies.
- Keep the Eden Engine fueled and operational
- Reinforce the train as upgrade systems allow
- Maintain weapons and repair capacity
- Expect enemy behavior and balance to change before Early Access
