Engine & performance status
Frostrail runs on Unreal Engine 5. After the November 2025 playtest, the team identified performance, AI, usability, accessibility, and tutorials as areas that still needed work. The lower-fidelity art direction shown in the February 2026 gameplay trailer is also intended to make performance and content production more manageable.

- PC and Steam are the launch priority
- Performance remains an active development area
- Frame-rate targets, upscalers, graphics presets, and accessibility settings have not been detailed

Current language support
Steam currently lists interface and subtitle support for English, French, German, Spanish (Spain), Portuguese (Brazil), Russian, and Simplified Chinese. No full-audio language is listed, and Traditional Chinese does not appear on the current Steam language list. Official Closed Beta and gameplay-trailer press kits also name Polish as planned Early Access support; that language is not on the live store list as of this verification date.
